Our spring camp is for the entire family, Lions through Eagle, parents, and siblings.  We tent-camp for two nights, enjoy campfires, skits, songs, and lots of scouting fun!  This year’s spring camp we will be participating in Adventure Summit at Rhodes-France Scout Reservation.  Scouts will be able to participate in a variety of activities in a unique and fun environment and will learn camping basics from experienced scouts and leaders.

When:  April 25 – 27 | Check-in after 5pm on Friday. Check out by noon on Sunday.

Directions/Parking:

Take 270 E toward Effingham.  Continue E on 70.

Take exit 63 to get on 51 N.

Turn right on to E 000 North Rd (CR-12).

Turn right onto N 500 East Rd.

Meals: The pack will provide a snack Friday night, Saturday breakfast/lunch/dinner, and a light Sunday breakfast. If there are any dietary restrictions, please let Valerie know at valkyrie88a@gmail.com ASAP.

Pack your clothes & items INSIDE plastic bags inside your gear bag. That way, even in the event of rain, you still have warm, dry clothes and shoes! Bring a bag for wet clothes too.

 

Rules:

  1. Scouts and siblings are NOT ALLOWED at camp without a parent or guardian, even temporarily.  If you must leave, you must take your children with you.
  2. Each person at camp MUST have a current medical form on file; adults and siblings included.  You will not be able to set up camp until the forms are complete and on file.
  3. No dogs or other pets allowed at camp with the exception of certified service animals. Such animals must be kept on leash at all times.
  4. No alcohol or illegal drugs, fireworks or firearms allowed at camp.  Smoking is discouraged.
  5. No youth is allowed to sleep in the tent of an adult other than their own parent or guardian.
  6. Only Scouts possessing the Whittling Chip may carry a pocketknife.
  7. No electronics of any kind may be used by Scouts or siblings participating in the camp program.
  8. Class A uniforms must be worn during flag and religious ceremonies as well as mealtimes.  Class B shirts may be worn the rest of time at camp.
